A collection of poems

I drift off sometimes and lose track of time. Where I misplace seconds and minutes that turn into hours of separation from my consciousness, and I. I would wonder what the cause of this was. So I mentioned it to Mr. M., and he said it’s the separation from union, known as Disassociation. That’s where you detach from your thoughts, feelings and memories. Like you go off into some blank place where there is no active energy. Just still, absent, floating. Yeah, that sounds like what I have been experiencing. I’ve been sorting through the facts and fibs scattered within the psyche catalog I have been keeping. Determining which memories were actuality, fever dreams, or scenes from old movies and shows I had seen. But no, they were chapters from a life I was trying to forget, desperately and quietly . So much so I mastered the art of being here, but not mentally. I don’t remember how old I was when I created a space within myself, where I would go when my consciousness felt inundated and overwhelmed. It worked well for many years. I could just stare off into the abyss, and forget the present, the here, the everything, I wasn’t . But that person is no longer me, and that process has no positive benefits for the next volume of this journey. So I may drift, only now I am aware and I notice it . I catch it, and reprocess it. I refuse to allow anymore of my time living, to be missed.

It takes me a while to condense my comments down with you because I could literally write paragraphs. It’s so effortless with you! You’re a special soul from what I can see. I don’t have to question it. So that means you’re a rare diamond in this life! So I want to give as many of those soul hugs as I possibly can!

I love it when you share your story and your vulnerability here! Keep those writings coming! Because I want to hear more about your experiences! I’m sorry you lost yourself like I did at one point. But we’re both right here now! And I’m glad we didn’t get lost in the chaos of it all either! That’s beautiful stuff! Your words and your art are a gift to us meant to be honored, and not something to be taken for merely ourselves alone. So while I love applying your words to my subjective experiences, thus seeing the similarities and differences, I also love seeing it all from your heart and your realm of interpretation. Because that’s where the real gift resides. 🎁

I’ll keep that open mic thing in the back of my mind for the future. That sounds like it would be a cool out of my comfort zone kinda thing for me!

And I’m sorry if you ever get annoyed at me talking your head off on here! LOL! 😂 What can I say though, you’re really awesome and love talking with you! So that’s why I do it! And though I would apologize for ever annoying you, I sure as hell wouldn’t ever apologize for thinking how awesome you are! 🩶

You are one of a kind, so very happy our paths crossed. You are a gift, thank you for sharing. I am far from annoyed. I hope you never stop being you, because you have a rare genuinely kind vibe that sprinkles wherever needs it, without even knowing. I hope someone makes you feel the same way you seem to make others. Thank you for being here. Also I totally get the open mic being out of your comfort zone. I slowly got comfortable.

Hopefully your day finishes off on a smooth note 😀

To keep a long complicated story short, I took the whole dissociation route a little extreme to the point where I got into psychosis territory for a while. Yeah, it’s a pretty wild and frightening cautionary tale. So I’ve learned that it’s definitely not your friend the hard way. Glad you’ve found the same!

Today’s been a busy one so far. Like most days. Which doesn’t bother me because I like my life busy. Just not too busy though. I hope your virtual open mic went well! (So rad and brave that you even do that!) I’ll hopefully be back again reading and listening to some more of your words later. They are both like a breath of fresh calming air akin to the feeling of meditation. 😀😌❤️

I always look forward to hearing your take and how it relates to you. You take the time to make sure people feel seen and heard, its genuinely like a soul hug. I am so thankful to be able to share the similar journey of losing ourselves to find our true selves without getting lost in the chaos of it all. Thank you for making my day. I hope your day slows down for you today, and you can find the eye of the storm throughout the madness of it all

Open mic was amazing! Anyone can come and is invited, its every Tuesday. Its amazing. I have been religiously going every Tuesday for about 2.5 years.

Anywho, thank you for just being you and for being here when you could be anywhere else 🩶
